ABOUT THE MOVIE
The Forgotten Key is an original movie script based on true historical events. Written by Nick Brown, the accomplished author of the ‘Agent of Rome’ series, as well as newcomer, Moshe Frances, the script is a drama/thriller and the first of its kind in depicting the real-life struggle of the Spanish Jews pending their ultimate expulsion from medieval Spain.
The 153 page script targets a broad audience and boasts universal elements such as, drama, suspense, romance and loyalty. It has special relevancy today with modern day political ramifications and as descendants of the expellees recall their past.
“I wanted to tell the story of our people that appeals to a broader audience. The story centers around the life a of a wealthy community member and his family. This is neither a story about the Inquisition nor the Jewish expulsion per se, but about human dignity and resolve during that chaotic time period.”
